President's Volunteer Service Award
In 2003, President Bush created the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation to find ways to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making in our nation. The Council brings together leaders from the worlds of business, entertainment, sports, education, government, nonprofit organizations and media to achieve this end. This award recognizes Dr. Rosio's dedication to volunteer service and signifies that he has served our community and our country with distinction. In a letter congratulating Dr. Rosio on his achievements, Jean Case, Chair of the Council, stated: "Through your volunteer efforts, you are demonstrating values that make our nation strong and you are helping to build a culture of citizenship, service and responsibility in America."
