A Caribbean teen was burdened with a thickened growth at birth that extended from inside the nose to the forehead into the scalp. She was known as 'The girl with a black river running down her face'.

Dr. Rosio worked with American Airlines and Ronald McDonald House to bring the teen and her mother to the U.S. for evaluation and possible surgery.

Dr. Rosio removed the benign tumor and used laser and reconstruction techniques just before Thanksgiving.

Back home in the Caribbean, learning to accept she is no longer 'the girl with the black river down her face'.
